I recently moved to Massachusetts and chose a new dentist who was close to where I worked. The dentist and assistants all seemed friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. After my firsat evaluation I was told I needed 5 fillings. I trusted the dentists expertise and returned to have all the work done. This dentist seemed to make a lot of mistakes. She slipped and drilled the edge of my tongue and on a separate occassion she slipped again and left a huge gash in my gums which bled for a week afterwards. On my last visit she told me she wanted to redo some fillings she had placed in my teeth lass than a year ago. Her reason was that they looked weird. Coincidently one even fell out after I ate a sesame seed roll yesterday. I refuse to return to this dentist and don't know how I will be able to choose a new one. I have to have this missing filling replaced, but my confidence in dentistry is shaky. Has anyone else experienced a lot of cuts into their gums and such after a filling procedure? I've been to two other dentists in my life and never experienced anything like this before.
